Su'me
Sume is a table lamp made of handmade blown glass and copper. The name refers to the honeycomb texture of the design. The base is copper plated and each glass shade is blown by hand, so every piece has a slightly different form and size. The lamp measures 34 centimeters in diameter and 40 centimeters in height. Sume is powered by mains electricity and includes a dimmer, so the light intensity can be adjusted to suit the room. The design supports traditional craft skills and the use of recyclable materials.
Su'me Table Lamp by SEBNEM BUHARA was selected as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Su'me Table Lamp was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2024. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that celebrates excellent design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
